The Performance Partnering Method
No client relationship looks the same.
No manager's journey looks the same.
Every organisation is different, and every manager has different problems. Trying to support them all in the same way is fundamentally flawed. So no manager's journey with 10X looks the same: we meet every manager exactly where they are. What does stay the same is the principles and the process we use to develop them.
The principles of Performance Partnering
Performance Partnering was not designed in a boardroom. It grew organically (see our story) as our response to a problem we kept hitting: traditional training does not genuinely solve problems or create real improvement. A workshop happens, everyone nods, the happy sheets come back glowing, and by Monday nothing has changed.
Its mission is simple. Actually solve the real problems on the plate of your managers and leaders, not run a separate training exercise alongside the job and hope something sticks.
So a single Performance PartnerA Performance Partner is responsible for creating the conditions that enable your managers and leaders to solve the real problems on their plate.A dedicated 10X expert who embeds into your business and is accountable for whether your managers actually execute. Not a trainer who turns up and leaves: someone your people know by name and can pick up the phone to.See full explanation of a Performance Partner is dropped into your business. Their job, and what they are held accountable for, is exactly that mission: that your managers move the real problems in front of them. Not a trainer who drops in and out. Someone your people know by name and can pick up the phone to.
Stop settling for training that ticks the box. Let's embed a Performance Partner into your business that actually solves the real problems on the plate of your people.

Data, Community and Execution. These are the principles a Performance Partner uses to ensure every manager solves the problems on their plate whilst being developed with 10X Managers.
Data
We meet your managers on their real workload, not adding to it, to drive engagement.
We surface what is actually going on. Diagnostics at the start, insight mid-programme, impact at the end. We do not measure learning. We measure movement.
- Diagnostics that fit the problem: Manager Strength Index, 360, Leadership Experience Diagnostic
- Insight that shapes every workshop we run
- Impact you can take to the board, not attendance sheets

How it runs
The three phases of every client engagement.
Every programme and development journey moves through the same arc. We Discover the real problem. We Develop your managers to solve it. Then we Measure whether it moved. We will not use every tool in the armoury, only the ones that meet your managers exactly where they are.
Discover
Find the real problem
We pride ourselves in our discovery. We don't leave it to chance where we focus development efforts. We surface what is actually standing in the way of the performance you need from your managers before we try to solve anything.
Develop
Solve it, for real
We develop your managers by solving the real problems on their plate. This could be helping them build skill and capability, solving challenges facing them day to day, or uniting your team to solve bigger organisational challenges.
Measure
Prove it moved
We re-run the diagnostics and report board-ready impact, not happy sheets.
Find the real problem
Discover
We never solve a problem we haven't surfaced.
This is where we get to the truth of what is actually getting in the way. We carry an armoury of diagnostics and deploy only the ones that fit the ground you want us to work on. The diagnostic rises with the stakes: from what your managers can do, to how they are experienced, to what the business needs to move.
The armoury
Manager Strength Index
A situational judgement test measuring manager capability against a competency framework. Industry variants, or built to your own framework.
See full detailLeadership Experience Diagnostic
A full organisational audit of how your managers are experienced across your own values and domains. For when you want to develop the individual manager's effectiveness.
See full detailBespoke Performance Diagnostics
Custom audits to diagnose specific performance challenges and gaps and enable us to measure the work.
See full detailTeam Voice
Independent, on-the-ground interviews with the people affected, so the work is grounded in the real problem, not the assumed one.
See full detailAt Wayve we ran Team Voice across 25 leaders, built a bespoke competency framework from what we heard, then powered a custom Manager Strength Index with it to measure all 53 against the way Wayve actually leads.

Develop
We develop your managers by solving the real problems on their plate.
Sometimes that means helping them build skill and capability. Sometimes it is solving the challenges facing them day to day. Sometimes it is uniting your team to solve a bigger organisational challenge. Whatever the problem, the programme is built from focus areas, each one real and worth solving, and every focus area runs the same engine. No slides, no death by PowerPoint. We meet your managers exactly where the diagnostics said they are.
Prime
Confront the real problem
A workshop built around a real problem on your managers' plates. It shifts perspective, challenges assumptions, and ends in a committed action. No slides, no lecture. The community does the work.

Act between the rooms
Where most development quietly fails, and where we take responsibility. Managers act on their commitment day to day, with Tensai beside them: an AI coach that knows them, their company and our method, the moment they are stuck.
Meet Tensai→Elevate
Troubleshoot and scale
A follow-up workshop where the Performance Partner brings the execution data back into the room, raises the real tensions, and managers unblock each other: killing what failed and scaling what worked.
Inside an Elevate workshop→Playbook
Codify what works
What the work proves gets captured into a living playbook, bespoke to your organisation: how you do things around here. The capability outlasts the programme and becomes the way you lead.

Measure
We measure whether the problem moved, not whether they liked the room.
At the close of an engagement we re-run the diagnostics from Discover, so progress is evidence, not opinion. The MSI is re-scored. The Manager Approval Score is gathered again. The bespoke audit is re-run. You see exactly how far your managers travelled, and so does the board.
